Your information
What you share with Homelah.

Checking your home
Homelah uses your postal code, block, flat type, floor and floor area to find comparable public sales. A unit number is required. Every completed home check saves these home details, including your unit number and whether you used the resale estimate or entered an area, in Homelah’s private admin area for usage analysis, even if you do not submit an enquiry. These details are sent in the request body and are not placed in public page addresses or comparison caches. Purchase year and purchase price stay in the browser session and are not sent to our API.
Exploring your options
The optional “Explore my options” journey keeps your selected intent in this page’s browser memory. It is not saved, sent to our API or submitted as an enquiry. Reloading or leaving the page clears it. This journey does not calculate selling proceeds or a next-home budget. A separately submitted enquiry follows the consent and storage details below.
Estimated floor area
The suggested area is inferred from resale records for similar flats in your block. It is an estimate rather than a verified measurement of your unit. You can use the estimate or enter your own area. If you would like to verify it, check your flat’s floor area on HDB and update the area in the form. This is optional. An estimated or entered area is not recorded as HDB-verified.
Public data and maps
Resale records identify blocks and floor ranges, rather than exact units. We use public HDB transactions and verified building addresses. When you view a map, your browser requests the basemap from OpenFreeMap; those requests include the map area and your network address.
Usage counts
We count postal searches, completed home checks and enquiries. Daily searcher counts use a hashed network address that changes each day. Repeat searches on the same network and day share a count; visits across different days can count again. These figures are approximate and do not identify distinct people. Network addresses can also appear in infrastructure request logs.
Enquiries
If you submit an enquiry, we store your name, chosen contact details, message, intent, town and consent record in Homelah’s private admin area. Your details may be shared with the assigned neighbourhood partner, as stated in the consent checkbox.
Closing an enquiry
After submission, the confirmation includes a “Close my enquiry” button. Keep that confirmation open until you have finished. The button marks the enquiry closed in the private admin area; it does not erase the enquiry, audit record or details already shared with a partner. Closing the browser or checking another home can remove access to the receipt.
Stored records
Home-check records and enquiry records remain available to Homelah’s operators until an operator deletes them. Operators can delete home checks and enquiries separately. Closing an enquiry does not remove a home-check record. Deletion removes the selected record’s submitted details from the live database; an audit entry retains its record ID and deletion time without copying those details. Aggregate usage counts remain, and infrastructure backups may retain earlier copies until they expire. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule. Do not include identity documents, financial account information or other sensitive details in the optional message.
